Showtown opened as Blackpool's first museum of popular entertainment. It covers the circus, magic, the dance halls, the Illuminations and the comedians who made their names here, using costumes, props and a lot of hands-on displays.
It is genuinely interesting for adults and busy enough for children. Sits under the Sands Venue on the promenade, minutes from the Tower.
