South Pier leans towards white-knuckle: a sky coaster, bungee-style rides and an arcade, with crazy golf on the deck. It sits opposite the Pleasure Beach, so it pairs naturally with a theme park day.

The beach either side is wide and much less crowded than the central stretch.
